Rethinking English Language Education Through Digital Technology

The book ‘Rethinking English Language Education Through Digital Technology’ explores how English language education is being transformed by the rapid rise of digital technologies. Bringing together diverse chapters from scholars across India and beyond, the book examines major developments such as Computer-Assisted Language Learning, Mobile-Assisted Language Learning, online and blended learning, artificial intelligence, digital literacies, multimodal communication, equity in digital classrooms, assessment practices, and the changing role of teachers. The contributions combine theoretical perspectives with classroom-based insights, showing how technology is reshaping language teaching, learning, feedback, and learner engagement in the 21st century.

Prof. (Dr.) Vinod Kumar Kanvaria is currently a Professor in the Department of Education, University of Delhi. He has over 24 years of teaching and research experience across the University of Delhi, NCERT, Delhi Government, and other educational institutions. He holds a Ph.D. in Education with specializations in ICT, Educational Technology, and Pedagogy of Mathematics, along with an honorary D.Litt., and Master’s degrees in Mathematics, Education, and Sociology.



Sarika is currently a Research Fellow in the Department of Education, University of Delhi, Delhi, India. She has been associated with the university since 2023. Her research areas and interest include Educational Technology, ICT for Education and Language Education. She has published her work in national and international books. She has also participated in various national and international seminars and conferences.
